Who should attend the Force of Awesome Institute?

Prevention educators and those who train prevention educators.


Will I be presenting my programs?

Yes, please come prepared to present a portion of your presentation (from 7-10 minutes) multiple times throughout the Institute.


What do you mean by coaching?

Sharing your feedback with your peers, what worked for you and what did not work for you, sharing best practices and tips.


What is dress code?

Casual and comfortable clothes – bring layers in case you get cold/hot.


Do I need to bring my computer?

We will be asking you to make changes to your presentation each night so bringing your computer or using the hotels business center are both options.


Does this count towards my certification?

Currently we do not have a relationship with NOVA to provide credit to those attending the Institute. However, if you are pursuing something with them or another agency on your own, we are happy to provide material to corroborate your participation in the Institute.


Does the price include any meals?

CP provides you with breakfast and snacks/drinks throughout the day. Please make sure you not on your registration any food allergies or intolerances.


Travel Accommodations

CP does not contract out with hotels for FOAI, however we do have a few hotels that we have used in the past and treated our attendees well. Please reach out to Cara for more information on lodging. You can reach Cara at Cara@catharsisproductions.com.


How many participants attend the training?

We cap the Institute at 15 participants so that everyone has a multiple chances to present and coach.


Flying into O’Hare or Midway Airport?

Our offices are about the same distance from both Midway and O’Hare. Both airports have shuttles to/from the airport to downtown Chicago. The Chicago Transit Authority website can help you navigate your way through the city without having to rent a car. The Orange line can get you from Midway to downtown, the Blue line can get you from O’Hare to downtown.
