It’s no secret to those of us in prevention programming that sexual violence is an epidemic on college campuses as evidenced by recent research that found 23% of women on college campuses were victims of unwanted sexual contact (AAU Campus Survey, 2015). Due to increased attention on this topic, anti-sexual violence programming and education is now mandatory on campuses across the country.

Creating effective programing to end sexual violence requires understanding how students think about the subject and what barriers they have about engaging in learning about this topic.
