Myth-Busting Sexual Assault

“Rape is just a bad hook-up” 
“She was wearing that mini-skirt so she was asking for it” 
“Men are not victims of sexual assault”

Unfortunately, some people still have misconceptions about sexual assault like the examples above. Today we’re going to bust some of the most common myths we acquire through the media, education (or lack of) and from engrained beliefs in our own families and society overall.

When we create awareness, we take off the blindfold from others and activate them to act against sexual assault. It is our responsibility to be UPstanders and spread out the actual facts and invalidate those toxic, false ideas once and for all.
